A New York native, Donald Faison began his acting career at age five while a student at the Children's School for the Development of Intuitive and God-Conscious Art. While there, Faison's enthusiasm for acting led him to study the art at the Professional Children's School in New York. He now plays charismatic surgical resident Chris Turk, J.D.'s (Zach Braff) college buddy.

Faison's early love of acting led him to success in both film and television. In 1995, he landed a role opposite Angela Bassett in the feature film "Waiting to Exhale." Following this performance, he played Murray in Amy Heckerling's popular feature, "Clueless," which starred Alicia Silverstone. In September 2000, Faison starred with Denzel Washington in the box-office hit, "Remember the Titans." He made a cameo appearance in the teen film "Josie and the Pussycats," and also acted in the independent feature "Double Whammy" (co-starring Elizabeth Hurley), which premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. Most recently Faison starred in "Uptown Girls," with Brittany Murphy, voiced Wilson the dog in the feature film "Good Boy" and starred in Universal's "Big Fat Liar." His additional film credits include "Trippin'," "Can't Hardly Wait," "New Jersey Drive," "Prep" and "Juice."

On the small screen, Faison portrayed Tracy on the popular television drama "Felicity" for two seasons. Prior to this he reprised his role as Murray for three seasons in the television version of "Clueless." He also appeared as Raury in "Party of Five" and had other notable guest-starring credits, including "Sister, Sister" and "New York Undercover."

In his time off-screen, Faison is an avid basketball player and is exploring writing music and singing. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
