Season 5, Episode 12 - My Cabbage February 28, 2006 Mrs. Wilk is finally going home. Everyone is happy that she's back to good health, but they're sad to see her leave. Another patient is about to go into surgery, Mr. Burton. He makes sure to give Turk a note to give to his sons in case he doesn't make it through surgery. As it turns out, he doesn't make it through surgery. Turk and Elliot think the other has Mr. Burton's letter, but they've both lost it. Janitor has trained a bird named Sanchez to follow his commands and to land and invade various people. Elliot comes up with the bright idea of re-writing the note. Just as she begins reading their horribly off-kilter note, Janitor strolls up with the real one. Sanchez got ahold of it and put it in a Christmas wreath. Meanwhile, J.D. is peeved at intern Keith because he's still sleeping with Elliot. He tries to make it hard for Keith by threatening suspension for the next intern who screws up. Unfortunately, J.D.'s favorite intern Jason Cabbage makes the first mistake. In order to save face and to keep from suspending him, J.D. amends his rule. Dr. Cox warns him that keeping a badly performing intern will have negative consequences for him later. J.D. finally gives him the news that he is suspended - permanently. Jason leaves the hospital and picks up a glove off the ground that's been infected with someone's germs. He decides to return to the hospital to say goodbye to Mrs. Wilk. He shakes her hand...infecting her with something. After Sanchez has interfered with Dr. Kelso one too many times, Janitor pretends that the bird is dead and stuffed, so Kelso will leave him alone. |
