Season 4, Episode 3 - My New Game
September 14, 2004
Lawyer Ted informs Dr. Cox and Jordan that due to a legal mix-up years ago, they are still legally married. Amazingly they are happy about it and go on with their lives as a happily married couple. But the cracks begin to show immediately when they realize they may really be together for the rest of their lives. All of their annoying habits come to the surface. Things go from bad to worse, so Jordan decides to take baby Jack and go stay with her mother. Molly points out to Cox that they were happier before their marriage was re-instated, so they should go back to that time.
Just as Jordan's is leaving, Cox asks her for a divorce, which she happily grants.
J.D. is annoyed that he has to be referred to as the Co-Chief resident since he's sharing the position with Elliot. He and Turk have a falling out when Turk operates on a patient and she ends up dying. Turk had asked J.D. to arrange it so that Turk would get to do the operation instead of the Todd. J.D. was hesitant, but he did it anyway and then felt guilty when she died.
Molly and Dr. Cox work together on a patient, Miss Meyers, whose looks have improved since she had reconstructive plastic surgery after an accident. She's trying to adjust to the fact that she is now attractive. Miss Meyers decides that she wants to have surgery again to restore her rather unattractive looks. Cox disagrees at first, but Molly convinces him that it's for the best.
